  Were You Ever Into Bible Prophecy?

  I could never make sense of ANY bible prophecy. None of them made any sense and when you get the dubs involved, well you see what happens. Ridiculous, to say the least. Show me one prohecy that can be proven as haqving occurred. This is not an open invitation to OBVES. I think that he and Jcanon are the same person. Their prophecies rival those of the dubs. How cazn anyone really stand on that platform and talk about these things as if they are true?

  I gave a talk 1 time about where the year 1914 came from. I was 19 and had to just bite my tongue to give that talk. I did not believe 1 word of what I said but felt I had no choice. I later was able to convince myself that I was wrong because I hadn't put in the years of study that the society has to get to the point that they were at. I made myself believe that for years, but eventually I could no longer live with the idea of bible prophecy predicting a talk at an assembly 2000 years later. What is wrong with these bozos?

  hey guys, album is going great so far... i hope we can finish it in 2008, around may or june.

  anyway, i just had a thought which made me stop in for a while.

  i was discussing something with a friend the other day, i hadn't even started speaking nor had i brought up the core of my point before he started screaming like some wild manaic; he started making up "straw man" arguments one after the other ad infinum, yelling like a banshee and accusing me of all sorts of thoughts that i don't believe... it was really bazarre.

  Dawg,

  I went through the same thing with my dad before he died. He tried to pin me down as to what was my issue with JW's. I only spoke about things from the FDS. When he had no answer, he called me a fornicator and that was why I was an apostate. Funny thing is, I've been married for 20 years. With no way to deal with facts, their only response is to attack the messenger.

  on the earth you should pour it out as water.. from these verses it is clear that there is an old testament prohibition against eating blood.

  if not, why do you think it is sacred?

  so whenever a person took the life of an animal, they were to drain the blood and not drink it because the blood represents the life and not theirs to take without god's permission.

This is to let you know that I will respect the disfelloshipping arrangement and no longer contact you regarding anything personal. I am sorry to hear that your choice to honor Christ by celebrating Christmas is more important than your dedication to God's Earthly Organization. Your choice to flaunt such repulsive behavior on this board shows how far from the Truth you have strayed. I only hope that one day you will come to your senses and realize that decisions like these are life threatening. I have known both of you for over 20 years and am saddened by the loss of your friendship. Please repent from your filthy acts of false worship and turn back to the God of the New World Translation. Can't we all just get along and be happy Witnesses? By the way, what did you witness today?

I can't wait to ask her why it's such a big deal for you to have been caught worshipping God? I want to hear from her why the fact that you still believe in god and are still faithful to his principles is grounds for D'fing.   It's my favorite day of the year because from there on out the days get longer. No more coming home in the dark and going to work in the dark. I've been in AZ for 4 months now and can see why so many move here for the winter. Nothing like sunshine to chase away the blues from being away from my family. Happy New Year and longer days to all!

  That was truly great. I wish I was in the same position to be able to take such a stand, but with the family still in I'm stuck on my own. Someday soon we'll be able to get together like before and be happy to be out! Hang in there and keep us posted as to what happens because of the visit. Does anyone else realize how much importance they put on their little Judicial Committee? I mean really, who cares what a bunch of counselor wannabes think about whether or not you celebrate Christmas? I say tell em to shove off just like you did. GOOD STUFF!

  Why God permits wickedness..the argument and counter logic

  when i was a pioneer i used to get the comment a lot, as i am sure most here have.. my stock answer was the analogy.... wt 2002 10/1 page 7 as an example.

  imagine a father allowing his child to go thru a painful operation in-order to get better...hence why god permits suffering.

  anyway i used to trot this out without any counter arguments.. even when i left, it still seemed a reasonable explanations, then something clicked.

  Great topic! Why does God permit Wikedness? My favorite answer of all time was briefly touched on earlier: So that the angels will have proof beyond a shadow of a doubt that man is incapable of ruling himself in a way that results in peace and security.

  Are you kidding me? I've known from a very young age that man will always have wars and violence and all these horrible things that go on in this world. Man is by nature violent. This argument has no other result than to make the angels dumb as a box of rocks. If they haven't figured it out yet, then they never will. This is just one more reason that proves to me that belief in a spirit being to save this earth is an excercise in futility.
